The Project Manager will be required to lead the highway design function in the design office and will be expected to be involved in and lead the design of all projects starting from concept development to final design and tendering. Responsible for overall management of the design services. He must therefore have a strong technical background, with adequate experience in the design of urban and rural expressways, grade-separated interchanges, etc. Must be familiar with highway design standards such as AASHTO. Report writing and presentations will be required. The Project Manager must be approachable – both from the point of view of staff under his wing as well as the Client. He must be agreeable to being extremely responsive to internal and external needs. Promotes technical and commercial excellence on the project through application of Quality Assurance processes. Monitors and reports to management on the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones, and any conditions, which would affect project cost or schedule.
